Transporting the water phantom
•
If the water phantom is transported over long distances (e.g. relocation,
return for repair, etc.), always use the original packaging or special return
packaging. Please contact your dealer or ZEISS Service if necessary.
Care of the water phantom
Cleaning the water phantom
•
Wipe off the water phantom with a moist cloth or tissue. Remove any res-
idue using a mixture of 50% ethyl alcohol and 50% distilled water plus a
dash of household dishwashing liquid.
•
Do not use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
CAUTION
If not appropriately transported on site, the water phantom may fall down
and cause injury or be damaged.
•
Always carry the water phantom together with a second person and hold
it by the handles attached to its sides.
•
Avoid collisions and hard impact when setting the device down.
WARNING
If the XRS 4 is still seated in the XRS mount and is connected during care and
maintenance work, unintentional irradiation may occur.
•
Before performing care and/or maintenance of the water phantom, dis-
connect the XRS cable from the XRS 4 and remove the XRS 4 from the
XRS mount.
NOTE
If the water in the water tank is not drained after the water phantom is used,
it may become murky in the course of time. This makes the visual check of
the probe positioning difficult and can result in errors in the determination of
the zero point.
•
Drain the water out of the water tank after each use of the water phan-
tom.
