Camera Selection
Dependent on the hardware configuration, one or
two sCMOS (ELYRA 7 types S & eLS with and
without Duolink, respectively), one or two EMCCD
cameras (ELYRA type L with and without Duolink,
respectively) or one EMCCD camera & one sCMOS
camera (ELYRA type LS) (designated as
TV1
and
TV2
) are available (Fig. 91).
ELYRA type L systems have one Andor iXon 897
Ultra camera at the right sideport (SPr) (
TV1
) or
two of these cameras on the right side port via
Duolink (
TV1
and
TV2)
. TV1 is the camera to the
front, TV to the rear.
ELYRA type S and eLS systems have one sCMOS
pco.edge CLHS camera (
TV1
) at the right sideport
(SPr) or two of these cameras on the right side port
via Duolink (
TV1
and
TV2).
TV1 is the camera to
the front, TV2 to the rear.
ELYRA type LS systems have an Andor iXon 897
Ultra at the right sideport (SPr) (
TV1: EM CCD
Andor SMLM
) and an sCMOS pco.edge CLHS at
the baseport (BP) (
TV2: sCMOS pco SIM
).
For ELYRA 7 type LS (1 EMCCD & 1 sCMOS) the
camera can be activated by pressing the respective
TV1/2: EM CCD Andor SMLM / sCMOS pco SIM
button, which becomes highlighted, when
selected. Always one camera will be active.
Whenever one camera is active, the other will be
inactive as they cannot be operated
simultaneously. The system activates for each
mode the best camera automatically; for
Laser WF
and
WF
imaging modes this will be the Andor iXon
897 and for
SIM
imaging mode the sCMOS
pco.edge. However, which camera is used or not
can be edited later in the
WF
and
Laser WF
imaging modes by the user.
When two cameras are available, the active camera
is indicated by the highlighted
TV1/2: EM CCD
Andor SMLM / sCMOS pco SIM
. Whenever one
camera is active, the other will be inactive as they
cannot be operated simultaneously. The system
activates for each mode the best camera
automatically; for
Laser WF
and
WF
imaging
modes this will be the Andor iXon 897 and for
SIM
imaging mode the sCMOS pco.edge. However,
which camera is used or not can be edited later in
the
WF
and
Laser WF
imaging modes by the user.
