1 Friction adjustment button
For clamping the the surgical microscope at the support arm and for
mounting the surgical microscope in the desired position.
3 Magnification changer
Use this button to manually set/adjust the magnification to one of the five
positions (

= 1.0x,
γ
= 1.6x,
γ
= 2.5x).
7 Cover cap
You can remove this cover cap and mount a hand grip for microscope
guidance instead.
8 Objective lens
a Objective lens with fixed focal length
Objective lenses with different focal lengths are available. The focal
length equals approximately the working distance.
Variably adjustable working distance, focus range 100 mm.
b Focusing objective lens
Objective lenses with different focal lengths are available. The focal
length equals approximately the working distance. Focusing range
13 mm.
c Varioscope 100
Variably adjustable working distance, focus range 100 mm.
9 Drilled holes for fastening accessories
The bottom of the surgical microscope contains two holes for mounting
accessories (e.g. dovetail mount, handgrip, please see Page 58).
10 Securing screw
Screw in the securing screw as far as it will go after you have inserted the
binocular tube or another module in the mount on the surgical micro-
scope.
