Dear Parents,

Congratulations on your purchase of a Zapf Creation AG product. We would recommend that you read through the instructions for 

use carefully before using the product for the first time and retain the packaging for future references.

When CHOU CHOU doesn’t feel well or has any other wishes, she needs a little care and a whole lot of love from her mummy! Check 

what she needs and give her love, medicine or play with her and you will have a happy Chou Chou! 

Functions:

CHOU CHOU Magic Pacifier is like a real baby. She giggles and babbles when she is happy. She is making drinking or slurping 

sounds when she is given her bottle or spoon and closes her eyes when she is taken to bed. And Chou Chou Magic Pacifier can also 

be sad or sick. Here you need to give Chou Chou your mothercare or medicine.

Pacifier shows you about the feeling of Chou Chou and what she needs. There are several icons for the 

different feelings and needs of Chou Chou Magic Pacifier.

Switch the power button on the back side of the doll to “ON”. (Fig1)

Starting by insert the Magic Pacifer into Chou Chou’s mouth and select the mode you want to have by pressing her tummy button. 

Otherwise the play will start randomly. (Fig. 3)

The display shows you the heart.

Once the icon in the display of the Magic Pacifier change please find below the related explanations:

Preparation:

Insertion of batteries should be done by an adult as follows:

1. Set the switch on the battery compartment to “OFF”. (Fig.1)

2. Use a screwdriver to open the battery compartment.

3. Insert the 3x 1.5V LR6 (AA) batteries. Please check if the polarity is correct.

4. Screw the cover of the battery compartment back on again. (Fig.2)

5. Set the switch on the battery compartment to “ON”. (Fig.1)

All about batteries/rechargeable batteries:

•  Use alkaline batteries for best performance and longer life.

•  Use only the battery type recommended for the unit.

•  Batteries must only be replaced by an adult.

•  Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).

•  Do not mix different types of batteries or old and new batteries.

•  Do not short-circuit batteries.

•  Do not mix rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries.

•  Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.

•  Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before charging.

•  Rechargeable batteries are to be recharged only under adult supervision. 

•  When the product is not used for an extended time, switch button to “OFF” position for longer battery life time. We also   

  recommend removing batteries to prevent possible leakage and damage to the unit.

•  If moisture gets into the battery compartment, dry with a cloth.

•  Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy and taken to special waste collection point.

“Disposal according to WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive)

All products marked with a crossed out wheeled bin cannot be disposed of in unsorted municipal waste. 

Their collection must be done separately. Return and collection systems in Europe should be organized by 

collection and recycling organizations. WEEE-products can be disposed of free of charge at the appropriate 

collection points. The reason for this is to protect the environment and human health due to the potential 

effects of the presence of hazardous substance in electrical and electronic equipment.”

The 39°C Icon will appear in the display after the medical icon. This shows you, that the doll is sick and has  

fever. The doll starts to cry. (Fig. 4)

To heal Chou Chou put the spoon with medicine into the dolls mouth and insert back the Pacifier. 

Afterwards the display will show the 37°C icon. Chou Chou is well now and starts laughing. (Fig. 5)

Chou Chou want to play and she will cry if you don’t play with her. She loves to bounce or swing gently 

with her doll’s mum. The happy heart will appear in the display and shows you that she is happy. (Fig. 6)

If Chou Chou is hungry, so she needs to get her baby food. She will cry if you don’t feed her with the 

spoon. Take out the pacifier and feed her some delicious food with her spoon. Insert the Magic Pacifier 

back to Chou Chou’s mouth and once she is full, the display will show you the lucky heart and she is happy 

(Fig. 7)

After a while Chou Chou will become tired and she wants to sleep. The display will show you the related 

icon. If she doesn’t go to sleep, she will start to cry. So please swing her gently and pat her backside and 

after a while Chou Chou will go to sleep (Fig. 8)

Sometimes Chou Chou become some red cheeks and will cry. Here you need to heal Chou Chou by taking 

out the pacifier and give her some medicine with her spoon. Once you have insert back the pacifier to the 

mouth, the lucky heart shows you that she is happy.(Fig. 9)
