3. USING

3.1. The control panel

3.2. How to do a wash ?

Before the first wash in your washing machine, we recom-
mend that you should do a preliminary wash at 90°C with de-
tergent but without any washing to clean the tub.

3.2.1. Loading the washing

Lift the machine cover.

Open the drum by pressing on the locking button A;  the two
flaps automatically separate.

Insert the washing, close the drum and the cover of your
washing machine.

Warning : before you close the co-
ver of your washing machine,
make sure that the drum door is
properly closed:

•the two flaps latched together,
•the locking button A extended.

3.2.2. Proportioning of detergents

Your washing machine was designed to reduce water and
detergent consumption, therefore reduce the doses recom-
mended by detergent manufacturers.
Pour the powder detergent dose into the wash compartment

 and into the prewash compartment 

 if you chose the

«prewash» option. Pour in the softener into the 

 compart-

ment and Javel water into the  

 compartment if you wish.

If you are using a different type of detergent, refer to the «de-
tergents and additives» section in the washing guide.

3.2.3. Choice of the temperature

Choose the wash temperature applicable for the selected
programme (using the information given in the programmes
table) and comply with the temperature shown on the care la-
bel for each article to be washed (see the washing guide).

3.2.4. Choice of the pushbuttons

3.2.4.1.  Spinning speed reduction pushbutton 
900/550

The pushbutton 900/550 allows to realize a spinning to 550
rpm (pressed pushbutton) or to 900 rpm (released pushbut-
ton) on the cotton programmes.
If you wish end the synthetics, delicates and wool program-
mes by a short spinning, the spinning speed will be either
600 rpm (released pushbutton) either 550 rpm (pressed pus-
hbutton).

3.2.4.2.  «Half load» pushbutton

This pushbutton allows to wash small quantity of linen not
much soiled (max. 2,5 kg) on cotton programmes only by re-
ducing the water quantity during rinsings.

3.2.5. Choice of the programme

Select the programme depending on the nature and the de-
gree of soil of the laundry. Turn the programme selector cloc-
kwise to select the chosen programme.

3.2.6. Starting the programme

After you choose the washing programme, press the «On/
Off» pushbutton to start the cycle.

3.2.7. End of the programme

When the selected programme is over, the appliance stops
automatically and the timer knob stays on a stop-position.
The programmes end :

by a spinning (for the cotton programmes).

by a short spinning (for the synthetics, delicate and wool
programmes).

At the end of the cycle, release the on/off pushbutton to
switch the appliance off. Release any other pushbuttons that
are pressed in. Pull out the electricity plug and close the wa-
ter supply tap.

Note

: we recommend that you should leave the lid and the

drum open after use to air the washing drum.
