Using the hob correctly
Practical hints
The burners
To ensure maximum burner
efficiency, you should only use pots and
pans with a flat bottom fitting the size of
the burner used.
Rapid Burner
diameter 16-26 cm
Semi-rapid Burner diameter 12-22 cm
Auxiliary Burner
diameter 8-16 cm
• For easier lighting, proceed before
putting a pan on the pan support.
• Use only pans or pots with flat bottom.

Do not keep the control knob
pressed for more than 15 se-
conds.
If the burner does not light
even after 15 seconds, release
the control knob, turn it the
"off" position and wait for at
least one minute before trying
to light the burner again.
To switch off burners
To put the flame out, turn the knob to
the symbol (
z
).
The Hob Lid (available only for
model ZGF 646 IT, ZGF 648 IX)
In order to make the appliance match
with the kitchen design, a lid (not supplied)
can be fitted on the hob.
• The lid is meant to avoid dust to
settle on the hob, when it is closed,
and to collect splashes of oil or
fat, when it is open. Do not use it
for any other purpose.
• Always wipe off any splash of
liquid before opening the lid.
• Always clean the lid from cooking
residues before opening it or
taking it off.
WARNING! The
crystal lid can
splinter when
o v e r h e a t e d .
Always ensure
all the burners
are off before
closing it.
