MAINTENANCE

 

Prior to undertaking any maintenance operation, be sure 
to unplug the appliance from the wall socket as a safety 
precaution.

 

Periodical cleaning

 

Clean the interior periodically with lukewarm 
water and some sodium bicarbonate;

clean the cabinet exterior with a silicone wax spray;

clean the condenser and the motor compressor with 
a brush or a vacuum cleaner.
This will improve the appliance operation, 
consequently reducing power consumption.

 

Idle periods

 

During periods when the appliance is not in use, 
take the following precautions:

unplug the appliance from the power supply;

remove all foodstuffs from the appliance;

clean the interior and all accessories;

leave the doors ajar to facilitate the circulation of 
air in the interior of the cabinet so as to prevent 
unpleasant odours from accumulating in the 
appliance.

 

Interior light

The light bulb inside the refrigerator compartment 
can be reached as follows:
- unscrew the light cover securing screw,
- unhook the moving part as shown in the figure.

SERVICING

 

If the appliance is not functioning properly check 
that:

the plug is firmly in the wall socket and the mains 
power switch is on;

there is no power failure;

the control knob is in the right position.

 

Furthermore:

 

if the appliance seems too noisy check that the sides 
are not touching furniture that can transmit or 
amplify a noise or a vibration. Also, check that the 
refrigerant unit does not vibrate.

If your appliance is still not working properly after 
making the above checks, contact your local dealer 
or the nearest service center.

 

To obtain fast service, it is essential that when you apply 
for it you specify the model and serial number of your 
appliance which can be found on the warranty certificate 
or on the rating plate on the bottom left side of the 
appliance.
