SUMMARY OF OPTIONS
This section lists the different options that are available in the various menus.
9.1
Encoder Options
Parameter
Options (default in bold)
Notes
Video Source
SDI
Composite
The input source for encoding.
Audio Source
Analog Jacks
Channels 1+2
Channels 3+4
Channels 5+6
Channels 7+8
Analog 32KHz
Analog 44.1KHz
Where to get audio. Channels 1+2 to 7+8
specify which of 4 audio channels from
the SDI input to select. “Analog Jacks”
refers to the right and left “Audio Input”
jacks sampled at 48KHz. Use the “Analog
32KHz” or “Analog 44.1KHz” to sample at
other frequencies.
Audio Codec
AAC-LC ADTS
AAC-LC LATM
PCM
AC-3 Passthru
MPEG-1 Layer 2
None
The codec to use for audio.
Audio Bit Rate
32, 64, 96,
128
, 192, 256, 320, 384
The bit rate for audio (in kbps).
Video Resolution
WQVGA – 1080i, or
follow input
The encode resolution. [
Note 1
].
*Note:
There is no conversion of
progressive to interlaced in the Z3-DME-
01, so if a progressive input is used and
an interlaced resolution is selected, the
stream will be progressive. For
example, if the input is 1080p, then
selecting “1080i” for the encode
resolution will have the same effect as
choosing “1080p” for “follow input.”
Rate Control
CBR
VBR
Choose between “constant bit rate” and
“variable bit rate”. “Constant bit rate”
will cause the encoder to drop frames if it
detects the bit rate being exceeded.
Video Bit Rate
100 – 12000K (Default =
8000k
)
The video bit rate.
