The digital I/O pins on the Flex-IO connector are programmable by software and can be used to implement
interfaces for a large number of different standards. All FlexIO pins that connect directly to an FPGA are
named AUX_*. The remaining pins have fixed functions that cannot be reassigned by software.
Pins can be programmed to be single ended or differential, input or output, and can conform to different
I/O standards such as LVTTL with 1.8V, 2.5V or 3.3V levels.
This connector is designed to provide a direct interface to popular IR cameras from FLIR, such as the Boson
or Tau, or from DRS Technologies such as the Tamarisk. However, the Flex-IO connector can easily be
programmed to accept most other common digita l formats such as LVDS, BT1120 (FSDI-DCK-1x only), etc.
The header on the FV2K and FSDI board is from JST, part number BM30B-SRDS-G-TF. Pin 1 is marked on the
PCB silkscreen by a triangle.
