IMPORTANT:
•
Do not force material into the chipper/shredder. Branches cannot
be larger than1/2” diameter (shredder hopper) and cannot be larger
than 3”diameter for chipper chute.
•
Do not attempt to force large branches into hoppers.
•
Do not force chipper/shredder the machine is designed
to draw material at its own pace.
WARNING
The spark plug wire must be disconnected and the On/Off switch must be in the “OFF” position prior to
performing any service, maintenance, or cleaning of the chipper/shredder.
1. Before each use, visually inspect the general condition of the chipper/shredder. Check for loose
screws, misalignment or binding of moving parts, cracked or broken parts, and any other condition
that may affect the safe operation of the machine. Start the engine, and if abnormal noise or vibration
occurs, have the problem corrected before further use. Do not use damaged equipment.
2.
Before storing, unhook spark plug wire from spark plug, drain all fuel out of the engine’s fuel tank. If
this is not done, old fuel in the fuel tank may clog the carburetor of the engine and prevent it from
starting until cleaned out. Store the unit in a clean, dry, safe location out of reach of children and
other unauthorized people
