Profile Data
The tabular data shown in the
Profile Data
group (
lates to profile information and time information. To display this
information, use
View|Display Data|Show Profile Data
.
•
File
– Shows the file name used to store the current data set.
The baseline name for this file contains a maximum of five
characters defined by the user during setup (§
Naming System and Recording Filename
).
•
Profile No.
– Shows the number of the last profile that was processed.
•
Profile Time
– Shows the start time of the last profile that was processed.
•
Elapsed Time
– Shows the amount of time that has elapsed since data recording began.
•
Next Profile
– Shows the time remaining before the ADP processes the next profile. The
“clock” next to this field is a visual indication of the countdown to the next profile. This
clock is an easy way to determine whether the ADP is still processing data.
Discharge Data
The tabular data shown in the
Discharge Data
group relates to dis-
charge information. To display this information on screen, use
View|Display Data|Show Discharge Data
.

Top Q
– Shows the total accumulated discharge in the top
layer that is
estimated
by the program.
•
Measured Q
– Shows the accumulated discharge in the area
actually
measured
by the instrument.
•
Bottom Q
– Shows the total accumulated discharge in the bot-
tom layer that is
estimated
by the program.
•
Left Q
– Shows the total accumulated discharge in the left
edge of the survey area that is
estimated
by the program.
•
Right Q
– Shows the total accumulated discharge in the right edge of the survey area that is
estimated
by the program.
•
Total Q
– Shows the total discharge
estimated
and
measured
for the entire cross-section.
This value is the sum of
Top Q
,
Measured Q
,
Bottom Q
,
Left Q
, and
Right Q
.
•
Meas Q/Est Q
– Shows the percentage of
Total Q
that is
measured
by the instrument.
•
Total Area
– Shows the total projected area across the entire
measured
cross-section.
•
Mean Vel
– Shows the mean velocity for the entire
measured
cross-section.
•
Mean Dir
– Shows the mean velocity direction for the entire
measured
cross-section.
•
LEW/REW
– Shows the profile number used in discharge calculations for the left edge esti-
mate and the right edge estimate.
