This noise filter is for external power supply unit. Regarding necessity of the noise filter, follow directions on instructions for 

marine standards of this external power supply unit.

*3: 

If the noise filter for the external power supply unit is equivalent to the one of “Table Example Noise filter for FCN-500 Power line”, 
both noise filters can be shared.

IMPORTANT 

Lay the incoming wires to a noise filter separately from its outgoing wires.
Minimize the wiring to the ground terminals of the noise filters to minimize the impedance.
