Averaging Settings (Average Setup)

This is a setting in scope mode.
You can average and compute the peak values of computed data.

Averaging Modes (Average Mode)

The following types of averaging are available.
•  OFF: Averaging is not performed.
• 

Linear averaging (Linear)

: Values are averaged linearly.

• 

Exponential averaging (Exp)

: Values are averaged exponentially.

• 

Cycle averaging (Cycle)

: Values are averaged across cycles.

• 

Peak computation (Peak)

: Peak values are computed.

Linear Averaging (Linear)

The number of values specified by the average count are added and divided by the average count, and the 
resulting values are used to display the waveform. For the equation, see the equation for linear averaging in

Using the specified attenuation constant, the instrument attenuates the influence of previous computed data to
