IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
1. Read all instructions before using and keep for future reference.
2. Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label of the unit.
3. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse cord, plug or unit
in water or other liquid.
4. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without supervision.
5. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised. Children aged
from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been
placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean
the appliance or perform user maintenance.
6. Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be
given where children and vulnerable people are present.
7. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer service agent in order to
avoid a hazard.
8. Before use, make sure the heater and its accessories are complete and undamaged. Do not use
the device if its body or power cord are damaged.
9. Do not drop or hit the heater.
10. Do not cover the heater. A fire may occur if the heater is covered with or touches flammable
material, including curtains, drapes, bedding etc. when in operation. Keep the heater away from
such materials.
11. Do not use the heater around explosives.
12. The heater must not be located immediately below a socket-outlet.
13. Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, shower, swimming pool or other
water sources.
14. Place the appliance on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface or mount it on the wall. Operating
the product in any other position could cause a hazard.
15. There may be trace of odor during the first few minutes of initial use. This is normal and will quickly
disappear.
16. Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or modify the appliance. There are no user-serviceable
parts inside.
17. If using an extension lead please ensure you do not exceed the maximum rated running
wattage/load of the extension lead.
18. Disconnect from mains when not in use or when moving or cleaning.
19. Allow the heater to cool down completely before carrying and cleaning.
20. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter the ventilation or exhaust openings as this may
cause an electric shock, fire or damage to the appliance.
21. Do not put the remote, its batteries or any other objects on the heater
22. Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
23. Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
24. Do not dismantle, open or shred batteries.
25. Do not heat batteries. Do not expose batteries to heat or fire. Avoid storage in direct sunlight.
