Press the spindle blockade and unscrew the lower fi xing disk using a spanner, and remove the abrasive disk from the spindle.
Clean the spindle and the fi xing discs removing dust and other contamination generated during work.
Kinds of abrasive discs
For work with the grinder it is possible to use any grinding disc for angular grinders whose acceptable tangential velocity is at least
80 m/s and whose fi xing and external diameters are those indicated in the technical data table.
If the abrasive disc has an unthreaded fi xing hole, then it is required to use a fi xing disc.
It is also possible to use discs whose external diameter complies with the values indicated in the technical data table with an M14
threaded hole. In such cases it is required to use fi xing discs, and the disc must be fi xed directly to the spindle, locking it with the
button, and tightening the disc securely with a fl at wrench (which is not provided with the grinder).
In case of discs which permit installation of abrasive paper circles with a Velcro fastener, it is only permitted to use abrasive
paper circles whose diameter complies with the value indicated in the technical data table. The circles must be placed on the disc
concentrically. The edge of the circle must not be behind the edge of the disc.
It is also possible to use diamond abrasive discs of dimensions complying with the values indicated in the technical data table,
designed for dry cutting and grinding. Installation must be carried out in the same manner as in the case of abrasive discs.
In case of work with metals, it is recommended to use grinding wheels made of materials designed for processing of the given
metal. Get acquainted with the documentation provided with the abrasive disc.
For processing of ceramic materials you may use grinding wheels designed for stone or diamond discs for dry tasks.
Wire brushes and discs with abrasive paper should be used to remove old paint from metal elements.
It is prohibited to modify the fi xing hole, the spindle or using adapter rings in order to adapt the diameter of the fi xing hole to the
diameter of the spindle. It is prohibited to use abrasive discs whose fi xing diameter diff ers from the value indicated in the technical
data table. It is prohibited to use discs with cutting chain or circular saws, since they increase the risk of rebounding towards the
operator.
Attention! It is prohibited to use other discs than those permitted in this manual, even if they can be installed on the spindle of
the grinder. Inappropriate discs may not resist the load generated during work with the angular grinder. Damaged and breaking
grinding discs imply a danger of serious injuries or death.
OPERATION OF THE GRINDER
Remove the plug from the socket!
Before work with the tool make sure the body of the tool and the connection cable are not damaged.
If any damage is detected, it is prohibited to connect the grinder to the mains!
Install the grinding disk guard and the handle.
Do not ever operate the grinder if the grinding disk guard is not installed!
Select an adequate grinding disk and install the disk on the spindle of the grinder.
.
The processed material must be appropriately fi xed so that it does not move during processing, for example using an anvil or
clamps. The disc of the grinder rotates with a high velocity and improper fi xing of the material to be processed may cause its
movements during work, which implies an increased risk of serious injuries.
In case of cutting the material being cut must be supported at both sides of the cutting line, although in a manner that during
cutting does not cause seizure of the cutting disc. The supports must be placed close to the edge of the material being cut and
close to the cutting line.
Wear protective goggles, hearing protectors and protective gloves.
Make sure the switch is off and insert the plug of the power supply cord of the grinder into the socket.
Adapt a correct position which ensures equilibrium and start the grinder with the switch.
If the switch is in the upper section or on the lateral part of the body of the grinder, then in order to turn it on it is required to press
the switch at its rear part, and without releasing it, move it forward towards the symbol „I”. The switch is equipped with a catch
that permits to lock it in this position, which facilitates long operation. In order to turn the grinder off , press the switch at its rear
part and let it retract.
If the grinder is equipped with a switch located in the lower part of the handle, then press it and hold the lock button, and afterwards
press the switch. A pressed switch must be held during work, but it is not necessary to hold the lock button. Releasing the switch
will turn the grinder off . Such switch cannot be locked during work.
Proceed to work applying the correct surface of the disk to the material:
- in case of abrasive discs for grinding, it is required to grind with the lateral surface and/or the front surface,
- in case of grinding with fl ap discs, it is required to grind with the lateral surface so that the abrasive paper move parallel to the
material being processed,
- in case of discs with Velcro fasteners to fasten abrasive paper, grinding must be realised with the lateral surface,
- in case of wire brushes grinding must be realised with the tips of the wires and not their lateral surfaces,
- in case of cutting disc sit is required to cut with the front surface, do not polish with the front surface of cutting discs.
While grinding with the lateral surface, it is required to maintain the grinder at an angle which does not exceed 30° to the
