4.2 Using the HOA Keypad
Use the HOA keypad to enter OFF commands, switch AUTO or HAND Mode, change parameters, and display data including
fault and alarm information.

The functions assigned to F1 and F2 vary depending on the currently displayed menu. The name of
each function appears in the lower half of the display window.

ESC
ESC Key
• Returns to the previous display.
• Moves the cursor one space to the left.
• Pressing and holding this button will return to the Frequency Reference display.

RESET Key
• Moves the cursor to the right.
• Resets the drive to clear a fault situation.

AUTO
AUTO Key
Selects the source of Run command and frequency reference.
• Set the drive to AUTO mode.
• Run command input source depends on b1-02.
• Frequency reference input source depends on b1-01.

Up Arrow Key
Scrolls up to display the next item, selects parameter numbers, and increments setting values.

Down Arrow Key
Scrolls down to display the previous item, selects parameter numbers, and decrements setting values.

OFF
OFF Key
Follows the stopping method set in b1-03 to stop drive operation.
Note:
The OFF key is DISABLED during Emergency Override.

ENTER Key
• Enters parameter values and settings.
• Selects a menu item to move between displays.

HAND
HAND Key
The drive runs at a selectable frequency reference source by S5-01.
• Set the drive to HAND mode.
• When S5-02 is set to 1, HAND and AUTO mode can be switched while the drive is running.

AUTO
AUTO Light
Lit while the drive is in AUTO mode. Refer to page
for details.
