This chapter describes the hardware installation of the Feedback Option Module.
5.1 SERVOPACK Installation
For a detailed description of the installation, see chapter
SERVOPACK Installation
in the
SERVOPACK manual.
A detailed description of the safety precautions to be taken during installation, which must
be observed, can be found in the SERVOPACK manual in the section on safety precau-
tions.
5.2 Safety Precautions
DANGER!
–
Do not change any wiring while power is being supplied.
There is a risk of electric shock or injury.
WARNING!
–
Wiring and inspections must only be carried out by qualified engi-
neers.
There is a risk of electric shock or product failure.
–
Check all wiring and power supplies carefully.
Incorrect wiring or incorrect voltage application to the output circuits
may cause short-circuit failures. If a short-circuit failure occurs as a
result of any of these causes, the holding brake may not work. This
could damage the machine or cause an accident that may result in
death or injury.
–
Connect the power supplies to the specified SERVOPACK terminals.
Detailed information on this can be found in the SERVOPACK
manual.
There is a risk of failure or fire.
