4.9 Checking and Saving Parameter Default Values
Use the Verify Menu to check all changes to parameter settings. Refer to
Verifying Parameter Changes: Verify Menu on
for details.
Save the verified parameter settings. Change the parameter access level or set a password to the drive to prevent
accidental modification of parameter settings.
u
Saving User Default Values: o2-03
Setting o2-03 to 1 saves the current modified parameter settings as default values, then resets o2-03 to 0. The drive can
now recall all the saved parameter values by performing a User Initialization (A1-03 = 1110). The saved settings can be
initialized/restored as needed. Saving the User Parameter settings will cause selection 1110 (User Initialize) to appear as
a selection for parameter A1-03 (Initialization). It is now possible to initialize/restore the saved settings. In addition,
setting o2-03 to 2 (Clear All) clears the User default values, and “1110” is hidden from the selection for A1-03.
u
Parameter Access Level: A1-01
Setting the Access Level for “Operation Only” (A1-01 = 0) allows the user to access parameters A1-
and U
-
only. Other parameters are not displayed.
Setting the Access Level for “User Parameters” (A1-01 = 1) allows the user to access only the parameters that have been
previously saved as User Parameters. This is helpful when displaying only the relevant parameters for a specific
application. The saved User Parameters can be displayed in the Set-up Mode.

Saving User Defaults
Saves/clears the default values used for A1-03 (Initialize
Parameters).
0: Saved/Not Set
1: Set Defaults. Saves the current parameter settings as default
values so a User Initialization can be performed to recall
settings.
2: Clear All. Clears the current default values that have been
saved.
After default values are saved, it is possible to select setting
1110 (User initialize) in A1-03 (Initialize Parameters).
