Automatic tare function
The Automatic tare function allows you to subtract a tare by simply placing a container, without any need for
pressing the tare key. This function regards the first measurement value from zero weight as a container weight
and automatically subtracts the weight as tare.
* When you select the Subtractive weighing (Section 5-5), the Automatic tare function does not work even if
it is enabled.
* You cannot use this function together with the Preset tare function. If both functions are specified, the system
enables the Preset tare and disables the Automatic tare function.

When the setting is made, restart the instrument to enable the Automatic
tare function.
Automatic tare function - How to weigh items
[Example] When you use a 50 g container as tare and weigh 450 g items:

When the panel shows 0, put the container on
the instrument.
The container weight (50g) is automatically
registered as tare.
* The AT sign blinks during the registration of
automatic tare. When the registration is
complete, the sign switches from blinking to
steady light.
After the automatic registration, the system
measures any items put on the instrument
and displays their net weight.
When you remove all the items—including the
container—from the instrument, the system
ends the automatic tare function. When you
place a container again, the system
automatically weighs the container and
registers the measured weight as tare.
* Note that unless the gross weight on the instrument is 0 g, the system does not end the automatic tare function
even when the items and container are removed in step
.
* By changing the setting value of the user parameter #38, you can change the timing of ending the Automatic
tare. If you set the user parameter #38 to
1
and register an automatic tare in Step
, removing the tare does
not end the Automatic tare until weight measurement is performed.
