MINOR TROUBLE SHOOTING
A. Is the movement of the scale platform restricted in any way?
1. Insure that no foreign object(s) have become wedged between the scale housing and the
platform mounting bracket.
2. Verify the platform is not rubbing against any surrounding objects.
B. Are the batteries in good condition? Try changing all four batteries.
C. Is the scale off? If the scale has not been used in the last 60 minutes, perhaps the auto
off feature has turned the unit off.
If any of these things fail to correct the problem, the scale needs to be serviced by a qualified scale
technician.
CAUTION: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN THE SCALE OR TAMPER WITH ITS
MECHANISM OR CIRCUITRY AS THIS WILL VOID ALL WARRANTY COVERAGE.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
A. Use only a soft, damp cloth to clean the scale. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
Do not submerge the scale in water. Always be sure the scale is turned off before cleaning.
B. AVOID SHOCK LOADING. Place items to be weighed on the platform. Do not drop them
on. Repeated or severe shock loads may damage the weighing mechanism.
C. Depress function keys with your finger only. Never use a sharp object that may puncture the
key.
D. Keep the scale in an area free from extreme temperature changes, moisture, or dust.
Prolonged exposure to extremely high or low temperatures may cause damage to your
scale.
E. To avoid battery leakage, remove the batteries when the scale will not be in use for an
extended period of time.
F. Make sure that all employees are aware that your scale is a precision machine and should
be treated accordingly.
G. Keep this manual for further reference.
