1.5   WARRANTY

The boat itself and the built-in equipment installed by the manufacturer are given a one (1)
year warranty. The Yamarin boat warranties apply the terms of the Finnish Marine Industries
Federation Finnboat, which are based on the European Union directive 1999/44/EC and the
regulations of the Finnish consumer protection legislation concerning consumer goods. In
warranty matters, please contact the boat dealer.

1.6   REGISTRATION

According to the Finnish water traffic legislation, a boat powered by an outboard engine of
over 15 kW (20 hp) must be entered in the motor boat register. More detailed instructions are
available from the local city administrative court. The driver of a registered boat has to be at
least 15 years old.

1.7   OBLIGATORY EQUIPMENT

According to water traffic legislation , each watercraft powered by an engine must carry the
following equipment which are fit for use:

1)  For each passenger and the pilot, an approved life vest, flotation device or a lifesaving suit

of suitable size and capacity.

2)  Draining device(=pump or  bailer)
3)  Oars or paddle or anchor with rope
4)  An approved fire extinguisher of at least 2 kg, if the outboard engine has over 25 kW (34

hp).  The extinguisher must be checked once a year.

1.8   INSURANCES

Boats are not required to have an obligatory insurance like cars. However, an insurance is
always good to have, because it has an indirect influence on boating safety allowing you to
concentrate fully on saving people in case of a severe average.

1.9   TRAINING

It is advisable to practice boat handling. There is plenty of boating literature available.
Navigation courses are arranged by the Finnish navigation association (Suomen
Navigaatioliitto, tel. +358 9 445 167) in co-operation with open colleges.

Information about boating schools and local boat clubs is available at the Finnish boating
association(Suomen Veneilyliitto, tel. +358 9 158 2561). They provide a good basis for
developing your skills. However, you only become confident in boat handling, navigating,
docking and anchoring after long practical experience.

WARNING!  Yamarin 6230  is a fast boat which, if handled carelessly, may cause sudden

movements dangerous to the crew. Carelessness may lead to a collision and
result in severe damages. Slow down in narrow passages, observe the rules
of the road and keep a constant lookout!
