A. Adjust any slack between the rear shock
absorber bracket and the clamp of the side
cover.
B. After connecting the water temperature sen-
sor 2-pin coupler (black), install the coupler
cover over the holder securely.
C. Make sure the cable guide has contact with
the stamped location of the vehicle identifica-
tion number, and install it.
D. Insert the joint coupler into the plate and
secure it. After securing, install the cover over
the joint coupler.
The inserted portion of the coupler should be
hidden with the cover.
E. Pass the throttle position sensor lead through
the outside of the cylinder head breather
hose.
F. After connecting the throttle position sensor
3-pin coupler (black), install the cover over it.
G. The radiator breather hose should be routed
in the following order and via each mentioned
point.
The upper radiator boss at the rear of the
vehicle

The cylinder head breather hose at the rear
of the vehicle

The lower radiator boss at the front of the
vehicle

The radiator hose at the front of the vehicle

For routing the remaining leads, refer to the
diagram “Z” under “Frame and engine (left
side view)”.
H. Pass the cylinder head breather hose
between the radiator hose and the engine
bracket.
I. Install the cylinder head breather hose so
that the outlet faces downward. Align the out-
let with the lower side of the down tube.
J. After connecting, install the cover over the
fuel pump 2-pin coupler (white).
K. Pass the fuel pump lead through the outside
of the fuel hose.
L. Pass the fuel hose through the front of the
battery.
M. Secure the starter relay lead and starter
motor lead using the plastic locking tie within
the cross tube width (20 mm).
Position the lock part of the plastic locking tie
toward the lower side of the vehicle.
Place the tie of the plastic locking tie inside
the rear frame without cutting its end.
N. The order in which the other unspecified
leads are routed within the area shown does
not matter.
O. Route the starter motor lead inside of the rear
frame and along the rear fender.
P. Position the lock part of the plastic locking tie
to downward of the vehicle. Cut the end of
the plastic locking tie.
Q. Fasten the fuel hose at the pink dot position
using the plastic locking tie.
R. Fasten the wire harness at the white tape
position using the plastic locking tie.
S. Fasten the bracket to the tank rail (right)
using the rivet.
T. Upward
U. When installing the engine ground lead termi-
nal, it can face either way.
