5. Adjust: 

• parking brake cable end length

a. Loosen the locknut 

1

 and adjusting bolt 

2

b. Slide back the rubber cover 

3

.

c. Loosen the locknut 

4

.

d. Turn the adjusting nut 

5

 in direction 

b

 or

c

 until the specified brake cable end length

a

 is obtained.

e. Tighten the locknut 

4

.

f. Slowly turn the adjusting bolt 

2

 clockwise

until resistance is felt.

g. Tighten the locknut 

1

.

h. Set the parking brake lever and wait more

than 5 minutes.

i. Release the parking brake lever.
j. Repeat step (a) to (g).
k. Slide the rubber cover to its original posi-

tion.

WARNING

After this adjustment is performed, lift the
rear wheels off the ground by placing a
block under the engine, and spin the rear
wheels to ensure there is no brake drag. If
any brake drag is noticed perform the
above steps again.
