Throttle Friction Adjusting Screw
A friction device in the remote control box
provides adjustable resistance to movement
of the remote control lever, and can be set
according to operator preference. An
adjusting screw is located on the front of the
remote control box.

Do not overtighten the friction adjusting
screw. If there is too much resistance, it
may be difficult to move the lever, which
could result in an accident.

Power Trim/Tilt Switch
The power trim/tilt adjusts the motor angle
in relation to the transom. The power trim/tilt
switch is located on the remote control lever
grip. Pushing the switch “UP” trims the
motor up, then tilts the motor up. Pressing
the switch “DN” tilts the motor down and
trims the motor down. When the switch but-
ton is released, the motor will stop in its cur-
rent position.
NOTE:

Refer to the sections “ADJUSTING TRIM
ANGLE” and “TILTING UP/DOWN” in
Chapter 3 for instructions on usage.
