TIP
If more than one DTC is detected at the same time, perform troubleshooting of DTC listed below first.

1. Engine condition.
• Check the idling condition and check the engine sound while racing the engine.
2. Installed condition of O
2
sensor.
• Check for looseness or pinching.
Is check result OK?
YES
→
Go to step 2.
NO
a. Check the ignition spark gap.
Refer to “CHECKING THE IGNITION SPARK GAP” on page 8-59.
b. Test ride the vehicle according to the test-ride conditions for the O
2
deterioration diagnosis.
Refer to step 2 in “TROUBLESHOOTING” on page 9-135.
At this time, do not check the malfunction diagnosis status (readiness).
c. Check the condition of the DTC using the malfunction mode of the YDT.
Is it in the “Recovered” condition?
YES
→
Go to step 6, and complete the service.
NO
→
Go to step 2.
Is check result OK?
YES
→
Go to step 3.
NO
a. Reinstall the O
2
sensor.
b. Test ride the vehicle according to the test-ride conditions for the O
2
deterioration diagnosis.
Refer to step 2 in “TROUBLESHOOTING” on page 9-135.
At this time, do not check the malfunction diagnosis status (readiness).
c. Check the condition of the DTC using the malfunction mode of the YDT.
