DISASSEMBLING THE WATER PUMP
1. Remove:
• Water pump seal “1”
TIP
Remove the water pump seal from the inside of
the water pump housing “2”.

CHECKING THE WATER PUMP
1. Check:
• Water pump housing cover
• Water pump housing
• Impeller shaft
• Impeller shaft gear
Cracks/damage/wear
→
Replace.

ASSEMBLING THE WATER PUMP
1. Install:
• Oil seal “1”
(into the water pump housing “2”)
2. Install:
• Water pump seal “1”
(into the water pump housing “2”)
TIP
Install the water pump seal with the special tools
to the specified depth as shown in the illustra-
tion.
3. Lubricate:
• Water pump seal
4. Install:
• Impeller shaft “1”
• Pin “2”
TIP
• After installing the impeller shaft, add approxi-
mately 0.5 cm

(0.017 US oz, 0.018 Imp.oz) of
molybdenum disulfide oil through the hole “a”
in the water pump housing “3”.
Installed depth “a”
0.5–1.1 mm (0.02–0.04 in)
