Transportation with boat (trailering)
Transportation with boat (trailering)
The outboard motor should be trailered in the
normal running position. If there is insuffi-
cient road clearance in this position, then
trailer the outboard motor in the tilt position
using a motor support device such as a tran-
som saver bar.
WARNING
Do not use the tilt support lever or knob
when trailering the boat. If the motor can-
not be trailered in the normal running po-
sition, use an additional support device
to secure it in the tilt position.
NOTICE
• To prevent unintentional steering move-
ment, trailer the outboard motor with
setting all engine to full rudder angle by
steering wheel.
• To prevent interference between out-
board motors each other when using
PTT and making the outboard motor in
and out the tilt position, all outboard
motors direction should be straight.
• When trailering the outboard motor in
the tilt position, make sure to keep suffi-
cient clearance between the outboard
motor and the boat to prevent interfer-
ence between the outboard motor or
steering cylinder and the boat due to
shock or vibrations during transporta-
tion.
