REMOVING THE FUEL HOSE
1. Disconnect:
• Fuel hose
WARNING
Cover fuel hose connections with a cloth
when disconnecting them. Residual pres-
sure in the fuel lines could cause fuel to
spurt out when removing the hoses.

NOTICE
Although the fuel has been removed from
the fuel tank, be careful when removing the
fuel hose, since there may be fuel remaining
in it.
TIP
• To remove the fuel hose from the fuel injector,
expand the two latches “1” on the sides of the
connector and slide the fuel hose connector
cover “2” on the end of the hose in the direction
of the arrow shown, remove the hose.
• Remove the fuel hose manually without using
any tools.
• Before removing the hose, place a few rags in
the area under where it will be removed.

CHECKING THE FUEL INJECTOR
1. Check:
• Injector
Obstruction

Replace and check the fuel
pump/fuel supply system.
Deposit

Replace.
Damage

Replace.
2. Check:
• Injector resistance
Refer to “CHECKING THE FUEL INJEC-
TOR” in base service manual B7J-F8197-E0
on page 7-103.

INSTALLING THE FUEL INJECTOR
1. Install:
• Fuel injector “1”
• O-ring “2”
TIP
• Lubricate the fuel injector O-ring with engine
oil.
• Replace the O-ring when taking out of fuel in-
jector from throttle body.
• Insert the dowel “a” of injector into the hole of
throttle body.

INSTALLING THE FUEL HOSE
1. Install:
• Fuel hose

NOTICE
When installing the fuel hose, make sure that
it is securely connected, and that the fuel
hose connector cover on the fuel hose is in
the correct position, otherwise the fuel hose
will not be properly installed.
