Be sure to stop the vehicle before making
any setting changes to the multi-function
meter unit. Changing settings while riding
can distract the operator and increase the
risk of an accident.

Speedometer
The speedometer shows the vehicle’s traveling
speed.

Fuel meter
The fuel meter indicates the amount of fuel in the
fuel tank. The display segments of the fuel meter
disappear from “F” (full) towards “E” (empty) as
the fuel level decreases. When the last segment
of the fuel meter “ ” starts flashing, refuel as
soon as possible.
TIP
If the last segment continues to flash after fuel-
ing, or if all segments are flashing, have a
Yamaha dealer check the electrical system.

Multi-function display
The multi-function display is equipped with the
following:
• an odometer (ODO)
• a tripmeter (TRIP)
Push the “SELECT” button to change the display
in the following order:

Odometer
The odometer shows the total distance traveled
by the vehicle.
TIP
The odometer will lock at 999999 and cannot be
reset.

Tripmeter
The tripmeter shows the distance traveled since
it was last reset.
To reset a tripmeter, change the display to the
tripmeter and then push the “SELECT” button
until it is reset.
TIP
The tripmeter will reset and continue counting
after 999.9 is reached.

Dimmer/Pass switch “ / /PASS”
Set this switch to “ ” for the high beam and to
“ ” for the low beam.
To flash the high beam, push the switch down
towards “PASS” while the headlights are on low
beam.

Headlight switch “ / ”
This model is equipped with a headlight and a
daytime running light (DRL).
Switch to “
” to turn on the headlight.
When the headlight is turned on, the DRL is
dimmed to auxiliary mode.
Switch to “
” to turn off the headlight and DRL
will come on to help maintain daylight visibility.
