Fuel injector
Removing the fuel injector
Cover the fuel components using a rag to
prevent fuel from spilling out.
1.
Reduce the fuel pressure. See “Reducing
the fuel pressure” (6-4).
2.
Disconnect the fuel injector couplers “a”
and fuel pump coupler “b”.
3.
Remove the holder “1”.
4.
Disconnect the fuel hose “2”.
5.
Remove the holders “1” from the fuel rail
“2”.
6.
Remove the fuel pump coupler “a” from
the fuel rail “1”, and then remove the fuel
rail “1”.
7.
Remove the fuel injectors “1”.
Removing the fuel cooler
Cover the fuel components using a rag to
prevent fuel from spilling out.
1.
Drain the fuel. See “Draining the fuel” (6-
37).
2.
Disconnect the fuel hoses “1” and “2”.
3.
Disconnect the cooling water hoses “3”
and “4”.
