TROUBLESHOOTING
Is it possible to operate by
using the remote controller
or STANDBY/ON button?
Is the lamp bulb burned
out?
Is rotating sound of the
color wheel heard when the
power is turned on?
Is the color wheel heard to
try to rotate when the
power is turned on?
Is squeaking sound heard,
indicating that the color wheel
tries to rotate when the power is
turned on?
Does the STANDBY/ON
indicator light in orange?
Connect the power cord to the AC
outlet.
Press the STANDBY/ON button.
Do all indicators indicate
properly?
The lamp has failed or
its service life has
been used up. Replace
the lamp.
The lamp cover, filter cover,
cable or connector is not
installed or connected
properly.
The cooling fan has failed, or
cable or connector is not
connected properly.
Refer to error detection
specifications in the table.
The thermistor sensor or
temperature sensor in the air
filter section has failed, is not
connected or fixed properly,
or there is a trouble in the
intake or exhaust section.
A failure has occurred with the
switch of OP (1) P.C.B. , U600,
U601 of OP (3) P.C.B. or OP (4)
P.C.B., or CPLD(IC35) or
CPU(IC31) of CSP2 P.C.B.
Disconnect the power
cable once and
reconnect it.
Connect PC (RS232C) and
execute diagnosis using self-
diagnosis program (diag all).
Refer to "Self Diagnosis and
Error Message".
Remove the lamp and check
the lamp condition.
The LAMP error
indicator flashes in
orange.
The LAMP error
indicator lights in red.
The COVER error
indicator lights in red.
The TEMP error
indicator lights in red.
The FAN error
indicator lights in red.
The STANDBY/ON
indicator lights in red.
The ballast or control
line to ballast is faulty.
The color wheel motor has
failed , there is an error around
the motor driver of FMT P.C.B.,
or poor connection of the
connecting cable.
There is an error or poor
connection with the connecting
cable to the color wheel control
system of FMT P.C.B., CN
P.C.B., CSP2 P.C.B. or power
supply.
The color wheel motor has failed
or there is an error around the
motor driver of FMT P.C.B. or
poor connection of the
connecting cable.
Internal communication error
Connect PC (RS232C) and
check the error message.
Refer to "Self Diagnosis and
Error Message".
The lamp operation time has
exceeded 2000 hours, using
up its service life. Replace
the lamp.
The lamp fails to light even when the power is turned on. (1)
Judging method
Install a known-good lamp and if it lights properly, it means that
the removed lamp is burned out.
