If the DME32 displays an error message, look for the solution in the following table.

The internal battery has expired.
Several errors occurred while trying to download the
firmware.
The application program is not regis-tered in the flash
ROM.
When the DME32 is turned on, it checks its ID
number. If this number does not match, a connection
error occurs.
An SH2 error trap occurred.
Communication failed between DME32s in a multi-
ple-unit system. Per-haps a cascade cable has been
discon-nected, or a DME32 is not turned on.
An error occurred while reading or writ-ing to the ex-
ternal RAM.
A flash ROM write error occurred.
A manufacture or device code error occurred.
An SH2 error trap occurred.
A flash ROM erase error occurred.
An SH2 error trap occurred.
When a multiple-unit DME32 system is turned on,
DME32s with a cable con-nected to their CASCADE
IN wait for connection confirmation from the next
DME32. If this confirmation is not received within 10
seconds, a time out error occurs.
An SH2 error trap occurred.
Save the configurations to DME Man-ager or a PC Card,
and then replace the battery.
Try downloading again.
Register the application program in the flash ROM.
Make sure the cascade cables are con-nected in the proper
order. In addition, this message will appear when the bat-
tery is changed. Perform initialization.
Check the cascade cables, and make sure all DME32s are
turned on.
Ensure that cascaded DME32s are turned on within 10 sec-
onds of each other. Make sure that all DME32s are turned
on. Make sure the cascade cables are connected properly.
