The first press of either MULTI SPEED

changes the play-
back speed to 1/8 the normal speed. Further pressing of the same
button changes the playback speed as shown below.

The audio is not heard during still image, frame advance and
multi-speed playback.
In case a still image appears automatically during playback:
Some discs contain special recorded signals called picture stop
codes. When playing such a disc, you can continue playback with-
out displaying still images on the positions where picture stop
codes are recorded by pressing and holding

on the front panel
for more than 2 seconds to activate the picture stop cancel func-
tion. On-screen display "PSC ON" is displayed for a few seconds
when this function is activated. To cancel this function, press and
hold
3
for more than 2 seconds until "PSC OFF" is displayed on
the screen for a few seconds.
