Ejecting the Caddy
If the CDR400c is powered on:
Press the eject button to eject the caddy.
Note: You cannot eject the caddy if the SCSI command prohibits the eject
operation while the CDR400c is reading data.
Caution: Be sure to remove the CD caddy after it is completely ejected. (Trying
to remove the CD caddy before it is completely ejected may cause the
drive to malfunction.)
If the CDR400c is not powered on:
Pressing the eject button will not eject the CD caddy.
Manual Eject (Emergency Use)
Insert the pin-like tool of 2mm or less in diameter into the manual
eject hole next to the eject button, and push gently in order to eject the
CD caddy manually.
Caution: This technique should be used only as a last resort, for example when
the power is shut off inadvertently, when the loading mechanism fails,
or when the drive does not operate correctly. Frequent use may lead
to malfunction.
Important: After manually ejecting a caddy, you must power off, then power on
the CDR400c before continuing.
