Once the ports are installed, The following menu items need to be changed from their
default values in the radio.

Press the Menu/Setup button.
•
Scroll through the menus using the multi-purpose knob.
•
Use the touch screen to select a menu Item.
•
Turn the multi-purpose knob to adjust the settings.
•
Use the touch screen to save the selection.

easyterm49.zip
from the UZ7HO
website at
http://uz7.ho.ua/packetradio.htm
and extract into a new folder.
Open Soundmodem
Click on Settings in the menu bar. Select the Enhanced COM port and Standard COM
port for the Output device and input device, respectively. Check the following boxes
ONLY:
•
Single channel output
•
Stop waterfall on minimize
•
Minimized window on startup
The rest of the settings under “Sound Card”, leave at defaults.
Select PTT Port – Choose the Standard COM Port from above. Then click OK.
Open EasyTerm.
Under the settings menu, select Station Setup.
Enter your Terminal Callsign.
Enter your Mailbox Callsign. Then click OK.
Select your frequency on the FT-991A.
Set the Mode to DATA-FM.
