3. Fasten the ropes or lifting hooks to the base plate as indicated in the lifting
diagram.
4. Fix the sling and separator bar to the lifting crane.
5. Attach additional safety ropes, slightly slackened, to the lifting eye bolts of
the motors for additional safety.
6. Slightly lift the spreader bar to establish tension in the primary lifting ropes
attached to the base. Ensure the ropes attached to the motors still contain
slack.
7. Proceed to lift the unit.
3 Pre-start checklist
The full e-HVX/e-HVXR IOM must be consulted for more details while reviewing the following checklists:
Mechanical
• Supply (Inlet) and Discharge plumbing have been connected to the respective suction and discharge manifolds.
• Manifold header isolation valves have been opened to let water flow through the booster system.
• All individual pump branch isolation valves (2 for each pump - one on the pump inlet and one on the pump discharge) are in the open position. See image below.
• Pressure transducer isolation valve(s) are in the open position. See image below.
• Each booster pump has been purged of air by using bleed valves.
• All connection points have been checked for leaks.
Electrical – to be reviewed/performed by qualified personnel
• Electric power feed voltage ratings match the e-HVX/e-HVXR system nameplate along with the overcurrent protection and wire sizing requirements for each the
NEC, local codes/ordinances, and factory electrical schematics.
• Individual pump circuit breakers are closed (in the ON position)
• BMS (building management system) and/or SCADA communications/signal connections have been made to the appropriate connection point(s) for the type(s) in use
on site.
4 Power On
The following actions shall only be taken by qualified personnel. The full e-HVX/e-HVXR IOM shall be consulted for more details.
1. Close (Turn On) the feeder circuit switch or breaker.
2. Close (Turn On) the main disconnect switch on the e-HVX/e-HVXR enclosure door.
3. Once powered on, hydrovar X smart motor displays will automatically power on and display the quick-start genie. See the hydrovar X programming manual to select
the right settings for the intended application.
