55-30-00 TRIM TAB

To remove the trim tab:

Disconnect the control rod of the trim tab. Refer to chapter 27-30-01.

Cut the safety wire on the hinge pin. Remove the hinge pin. Refer to Figure 55-6.

Remove the trim tab.

Assemble the trim tab in the opposite sequence.

Safety the hinge pin with a new safety wire.

Do these checks:



The trim tab must move freely from stop to stop.



Deflection and permitted play must agree with Table 27-1.
