Do not use the Knee Walker if the brake system is not working properly.

To use the brake, simply pull the lever with your finger tips toward the handle bar.

As with any new physical activity, instruction, practice, and common sense are necessary for successful

use of the knee scooter. Practice turns slowly until you get the “feel” of your unit.
Do not attempt to reach objects if you are kneeling on the knee rest.

The steering column will be in a folded position when unpacking it from the shipping carton. The folding fea-

ture makes transporting the scooter quick and convenient transport.

TO LOCK THE STEERING COLUMN

1. Straighten the steering column to the upright position.
2. Slide the lever upright to lock the steering column,

3. Move the lever upright into the plastic groove to fit it.

TO FOLD THE STEERING COLUMN

Move the lever out of the plastic groove. Move down the lever to unlock the mechanism and lower down

the steering column. (See above illustrations)

HANDLE BAR HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

The handle bars are raised or lowered by pushing in the button on the steering column and the tightening

mechanism to reset to the correct height. Handle bars should be set at waist level to keep your back

straight. Stand on the side of the knee scooter where your pushing foot will be. Lock the parking brake.

Release the quick-release clamp on the T-tube and the tightening mechanism to adjust the height of the

hand grips to a comfortable upright fit. Relock the quick-release clamp and the tightening mechanism.

KNEE PLATFORM ADJUSTMENT

Release the tightening clamp and pull out the adjustment knob. Adjust the knee pad to a comfortable

position, engage the tightening clamp to tighten the knee pad and then lock it with the adjustment knob.

BRAKE ADJUSTMENT

For brake adjustment, turn the brake adjuster counter-clockwise to loosen the brakes. During the

adjusting, be sure to keep the cable adjuster not against the handbrake.

BRAKING

The brake is engaged by depressing the  brake lever on the handle bar. The braking wheel must be in

contact with the floor.

Do not hang anything from the frame of your unit. Items should be placed in the basket.

OPERATION / MOVEMENT

Place your hands on the handlebars. Place the knee of your injured leg on the front pad so that the top of

your boot or cast is directly over the space between the pads. Your lower leg is then resting on the rear

pad. Release the parking brake and propel yourself forward or backward with your pushing foot. Be sure

to keep the knee of your injured foot centered on the front pad. Move slowly so you can safely stop using

your pushing foot.
