Troubleshooting
This section describes remedial action for common error patterns which may result from improper
configuration or setup.
Alarm tone at the Dahua device (no HDD)
Depending on the configuration, operating the Dahua Encoder without hard disk might result in a continuous
alarm (alarm tone). Deactivate the respective alarm tone; refer
to “Install Dahua HDCVI Encoder”.
No alarm (detection)
Motion detection is not transmitted by the Dahua Encoder! The detection must be via IntrusionTrace /
LoiterTrace. Check the configuration and the respective licenses.
Camera does not show image
Check the configuration of the Dahua Encoder; refer to
“Install Dahua HDCVI Encoder”.
Camera does not show the expected Live image
