This troubleshooting guide has been provided to help you diagnose and solve most problems that you may encounter with your Rage
1/18th 4WD Electric Off Road Truck.
if you cannot solve a problem using this troubleshooting guide,
please contact your local distributor, using the customer service information on page 2.

1) Radio system does not operate
A) Transmitter and/or reciever* batteries are low A) Replace/recharge transmitter and/or reciever* batteries
B) Batteries are installed incorrectly
B) Check that the polarity of the batteries is correct
C) Receiver battery is low

2) Operating range is short
A) Transmitter antenna is retracted
A) Extend transmitter antenna fully
B) Receiver* antenna is not extended
B) Extend receiver* antenna fully
C) Receiver* antenna is cut
C) Contact your local distributor for repair information
D) Transmitter and/or reciever* batteries are low D) Replace/recharge transmitter and/or reciever* batteries
E) Receiver* battery is low

3) Servo does not operate normally A) Transmitter and/or reciever* batteries are low A) Replace/recharge transmitter and/or reciever* batteries
B) Servo gear stripped or otherwise damaged B) Replace with new gear set
C) Receiver* battery is low

4) Whilst driving the Rage, radio
A) Receiver crystal is loose
A) Remove and reinstall the receiver crystal
system operates erratically
B) Someone operating on same radio frequency B) Change crystals or relocate and try again
C) Damage to receiver after a crash

1) Rage pulls to one side
A) Steering trim out of adjustment
A) Readjust steering trim dial to centre both wheels (P9)
B) Toe angle out of adjustment
B) Readjust toe angle (P10)
C) Damaged wheel bearings
C) Remove wheel and clean bearings. Replace if necessary
2) Rage does not "go"
A) Stripped or damaged spur gear
A) Replace spur gear
B) Receiver* battery is low
B) Recharge receiver* battery
C) Pinion gear spinning on motor shaft
C) Tighten grub screw in pinion gear
D) Motor wires loose
D) Double-check motor wires. Repair/replace if necessary
3) Suspension not smooth or free
A) One or more shocks sticking
A) Clean and/or rebuild the affected shock(s)
B) Bent shock shaft
B) Rebuild affected shock, replacing necessary parts
C) Bent or otherwise damaged hinge pin(s)
C) Replace hinge pin(s)
4) Shocks leaking oil
A) Shock seals worn
A) Replace shock seals
B) Bent shock shaft
B) Rebuild affected shock, replacing necessary parts
5) Motor does not work
A) Motor wires loose or damaged
A) Double-check motor wires. Repair/replace as necessary
B) Receiver* battery low
B) Recharge receiver* battery
6) Spur gear strips out
A) Gear mesh out of alignment
A) Readjust gear mesh (P12)
7) Rage moves when turned on
A) Throttle trim out of adjustment
A) Adjust throttle trim dial so Rage doesn't move (P8)
8) Steering works, but throttle
A) Motor wires loose or damaged
A) Double-check motor wires. Repair/replace as necessary

B) Speed controller plugged into wrong receiver slot B) Plug speed controller into receiver slot Ch.2
