WINTER OPERATION
In colder seasons, the following must be observed when operating compressors: at low temperatures
the oil in the crankcase thickens and its viscosity increases. This makes it difficult to start the
machine for the first time before its
by heating. In case of problems, follow these steps:
1. Reduce any air pressure to zero.
2. Open the drain plug on the bottom of the air vent.
3. Do not use an extension cord unless absolutely necessary!
4. Switch on the compressor and let it run (without extension cable). With open drainage
run the screw for about 2-3 minutes to allow air to escape and reduce the pressure.
The device warms up in these 2-3 minutes so that it allows further operation.
5. After 2-3 minutes, close the drain plug. The aerator can now be filled and the pressure increased.
6. Change oil - use 5W40 synthetic light oil. Alternatively, SAE gear oil
80.
7. If the compressor does not start despite all efforts, leave it for 1/2 to 1 hour in a temperate room to
warm it up.
