4. Installation / Prior to use
The pump shall be installed in the way that the power socket and plug are
freely accessible. The pump shall not touch any wall or ceiling – minimal
distance from walls or ceilings is 10cm. The power socket shall match the
valid standards and shall be equipped with a grounding pin. No socket
adaptors shall be used – the plug shall be fully inserted into the socket.
The device is supplied in the complete assembly. Install the device on solid,
horizontal surface. In case of a permanent installation, it is necessary to
secure the device with an engine circuit breaker and fix the pump firmly to the
support – there are predrilled holes in the pump feet. Install the pump in the
way so you can place the properly sized collection container under the output
bolt to ensure an emptying the pump and distribution system. It is
recommended to install the pump at an area higher to the source water level.
If you install the pump under the water level, the proper shut-off valve shall be
installed to the suction pipe to prevent flooding when running a maintenance
or repair. When the device is not permanently installed, it is necessary to
install the proper shut-off valves to both input and output piping to be able to
close such piping when running a maintenance, repair or shutting down.
When installing to the fixed distribution system in buildings, it is necessary to
use flexible hose connections to prevent noise and vibration transfer from the
pump to the distribution system.
Prior to use
Use a funnel to fully fill the liquid up to the funnel edge level to ensure the
pump can draw the water in.
