Safety instructions
For your own safety, read all instructions very carefully. When using an electrical device, to avoid the
risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury, the following safety instructions must always be followed:
•
This device must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local and national
regulations. Structural changes or additions to the cabling must be carried out by a recognized
electrical mechanic or a person authorized by law to work on fixed wiring.
•
The drum fan must be connected to a power supply with 220
–
240 V alternating current and
50 Hz.
•
Work on the electrical system of this device may only be carried out after the power supply
has been disconnected. This can be done by removing the spark plug or turning off the circuit
breaker. This ensures that all poles are disconnected from the mains.
•
The fan must be earthed.
•
Do not use the fan outside. It is dangerous to place the fan where it can be exposed to water
or moisture.
•
Do not connect the fan motor to a dimmer switch. Insufficient power could occur (indicated by
a hum of the motor). The motor could be damaged.
•
Keep children away from the device. Never leave them unattended whenever they are near it.
Make sure that children cannot play with the device. The device can only be used by children
from the age of 8 and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental abilities or a lack of
experience or knowledge if they have been instructed concerning safe use of the device and
are able to understand the possible dangers. Children may only clean and maintain the device
if they are supervised.
•
It is not recommended that the fan be used with gas appliances in the same room at the same
time.
•
Do not put anything between the blades of the fan when they are rotating. This would damage
the blades and cause the fan to sway because its balance is disturbed.
•
After the fan is fully assembled, to prevent trouble, make sure that all connections on the
stand and blades are secure and tight.
•
Due to the movement caused by the operation of the fan, connections may loosen. Check all
support links, brackets, and blade fixings twice a year to make sure that they are still secure.
Re-tighten any connections that have loosened.
•
If the power cable is damaged, it must immediately be replaced by a qualified person.
•
Danger:
Do not try to repair the device yourself. Only a qualified specialist is allowed to carry
out repairs.
•
Pull the power plug before touching the device.
•
Only use the device for industrial purposes, not in the household.
