USB 2.0 model

To use the XPaket Storage Device USB 2.0, it is required to have an available USB

port and your operating system needs to support the USB interface (i.e., Win-

dows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP or Mac OS 8.0 or later).

If you do not have an available USB port, you may purchase and use a USB 2.0

PCI add-on card. Normally, this provides 2-4 USB 2.0 ports.

5,25” enclosure: to install a 5,25” CD-ROM/CD-RW/DVD drive internally

 

DC adapter: to power up the 5,25” XPaket Storage Device

 

USB cable: to connect the XPaket Storage Device to computer

FireWire IEEE 1394 model

To use XPaket Storage Device FireWire IEEE 1394, the computer is required to

have an FireWire IEEE 1394 port and your operating system needs to support the

FireWire IEEE 1394 interface (i.e.,  Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000,

Windows XP or Mac OS 8.0 or later). If your computer main board, etc does not

have FireWire IEEE 1394 port, you may purchase and use a Firewire PCI card.

Normally, these cards provide 2 FireWire IEEE 1394 ports.

XPaket Storage Device USB 2.0/ Firewire IEEE 1394 Combo version

To use XPaket Storage Device USB 2.0/ Firewire IEEE 1394, the computer must

have available either a USB 2.0 or an FireWire IEEE 1394 port. This model sup-

ports both of the interfaces, permitting increased flexibility between different

computers with different interfaces. The operating system is required to support

the USB 2.0 and/or FireWire IEEE 1394 interface (i.e., Windows 98SE, Windows
