CHAPTER 3
Windows NT 4.0 Installation
The NDIS3 driver CE3.SYS is installed by default using the instruc-
tions in this chapter. For NDIS4 instructions, see the README file
on the Xircom Windows 95, 98, and NT Installation Disk.
PCMCIA Services Verification
Verify that PCMCIA services are enabled on your computer.

Select Devices from the Control Panel.

Scroll down the Device list to the PCMCIA device. The Status
should be Started and the Startup should be Boot. If this is not
how PCMCIA is configured, then click Startup, set the Startup
Type to Boot and click OK.
Network Driver Installation
Use the following procedure to install the network driver:

Shut off power to the computer (power down).

Insert the RealPort Ethernet 10/100 into the PC Card slot.

Power up the computer.

Select Network from the Control Panel.

Select the Adapters tab and click Add.

On the Select Network Adapters screen, click Have Disk. Insert
the Xircom Windows 95, 98, and NT Installation Disk and
verify that the specified path (for example: A:\) is correct. Click
OK.

Select Xircom 16-bit Ethernet 10/100, and click OK.

At the Xircom 16-bit Ethernet 10/100 Setup screen, choose
appropriate settings. Click OK.

At the Network screen click Close.

At the Network Settings Change screen, remove the Xircom
disk from the disk drive and click Yes. The computer will shut
down and restart.
