Import Calibration Certification/Import Settings Dialogs
In order to know the calibration status of a
counter, CounterMeasure must be pointed
toward a Calibration Certification. At every
release of CounterMeasure the Calibration
Certification will be updated, but if a counter is
calibrated between releases the certificate
should be updated to accurately reflect the
current calibrated status. Additionally, after
calibration certain settings are tweaked to optimize performance, and importing these new settings is
required to have CounterMeasure use them. To perform the update, XIA will provide a .update file. Save
that file in a convenient location on the computer running CounterMeasure, then navigate to File-
>Import Calibration Certification. This will launch the dialog (see Figure VI-16). To finish the process, click
the “…” button and point the dialog to the calibration file you previously saved and click “Import”. The
should now reflect the counter’s calibrated status.
Additionally, there’s an option to import settings only, without updating the calibration certificate.
This also takes a .update file, and functions similarly to the above description. Note that this option is
rarely used, typically settings are only updated along with the calibration certificate and the Import
Calibration Certification option should be used.
