To maintain print quality when printing on color paper using white toner, select the same paper color
in three places. When you load paper, use the control panel to select the paper color. When using the
print driver, match your selected paper color with the paper color selected in your toner adjustment
setting. For details on selecting a toner adjustment to match the color of your paper, refer to
Setting
the Toner Adjustment .
To select the color of your paper:
1. In the print driver, click the Printing Options tab.
2. For Paper, select Other Color .
3. From the list, select the color of your paper.
4. Click OK .

To maintain print quality when printing on color paper using white toner, match your selected paper
color with the
Toner Adjustment setting on the Printing Options tab. For details on selecting the
color of your paper to match your toner adjustment, refer to Selecting Paper Color .

• Adjust for Brown Paper
• Adjust for Cyan Paper
Background settings:
• Automatic Background
• No Background
Your toner adjustment setting along with your color information, Composite RGB, or Composite
CMYK, affects how the toner is applied during the printing process. The following explains this process
for several settings.
