There is a paper jam at the Registration Sensor.

Logic Control on the Print Engine Controller Board sensed that paper did not leave

the Registration Sensor within the specified time.

in the cassette?

PAPER TRAVEL INSPECTION

Open the Left Upper Cover and observe the position of
the jammed paper.

Is the sheet of paper skewed?

Replace the
Feed, Pick,
and Retard
Rolls (RRP
1-11)

REGISTRATION SENSOR TEST

1. Enter Diagnostics Mode.
2. From the Main Menu, select Comp Input Test / IOT

Unit / Reg. Sensor.

3. Press [4] to start.
4. Open the Left Upper Cover (A).
5. Insert, then remove, a sheet of paper into the

Registration Sensor.

6. Press [0] to stop.

Does the Control Panel Display show “"with
paper"” when you insert the paper into the
Registration Sensor, and does it show “without
paper” when you remove the paper?

Go to step 6

Replace the
Registration
Sensor.
