Submitting 600 dpi jobs

To submit 600 dpi jobs on your Xerox DocuPrint 92C NPS, use one of
the job submission methods described below.

Note:

These methods are required only until the Common Client 2.3

driver becomes available.

1. Install the revised 4890 PostScript Printer Description (PPD) file

from your NPS 1.6.1 system with the existing Common Client 2.1
driver (refer to the

Guide to Submitting Jobs from the Client

). This

PPD file allows both models 4890 and 92C to utilize the 4890
driver with no limitation.

2. Install the Xerox INF file for use with the Microsoft PScript driver

(refer to the

Guide to Submitting Jobs from the Client

), then use

the native driver with the new PPD file (enhanced for DocuPrint
92C NPS).

Note:

Use this method when native 600 dpi is required but

access to Xerox job ticketing is not required.

3. Install the Xerox INF file for use with the Microsoft PScript driver

(refer to the

Guide to Submitting Jobs from the Client

), then use

the native driver with the new PPD file and generate a PostScript
(.ps) file. Finally, use DigiPath QuickPrint job submission client to
submit your job. The job will be submitted to a 4890 printer.

Note:

Use this method when both native 600 dpi and Xerox job

ticketing are required.

Supplies

Notes:

Expected dry ink yield is based on a 5% black and 1.5% color

area coverage. This yield will vary depending on area coverage of
the application and darkness settings of the printer.

Use only dry ink that is specified for use in the DocuPrint 92C

printer even when printing non-colored jobs.

Purchase of colored dry ink is required to operate your DocuPrint

92C NPS highlight color system.

A small amount of colored dry ink is consumed even when
printing non-colored jobs, except in the Black Executive mode.

For further information on this topic, consult your local Xerox
service representative.
