USING WITH 9V BATTERIES
The X0HA-RHP will work with any standard 9V battery.
Typical battery life based on continuous use:
NiMH 9V 280mAH rechargeable = 13 hours; Alkaline 9V = 26 hours;
Lithium Long-Life 9V = 44 hours; Standard high power 9V = 12 hours.
Battery Select Switch – WARNING: Before installing batteries, select
correct battery type. Refer to the diagram below and battery select
switch label in battery compartment for correct setting.
Batteries other than NiMH can overheat and leak if the battery select
switch is set incorrectly.
Charging 9V NiMH batteries: The 12VDC adapter can be used to charge
a 9V NiMH battery while installed in the amplifier. A 9V 280mAH NiMH
battery will be fully charged in approximately 10 hours.
There is no danger of overcharging and the battery will charge while the
amplifier is operating or turned off.

ADJUSTING SOUND LEVELS
Adjusting the volume level.
The volume control on the X0HA-RHP adjusts the signal level to the
output amplifier stage that drives the headphones. Before powering
up the X0HA-RHP, set the volume level on your playback device to
about 50% and start playing a music track. Turn on the X0HA-RHP,
place your head-phones on, now adjust the X0HA-RHP volume setting
to a desired level. If need be increase the volume setting on your play-
back device and adjust the volume setting on the X0HA-RHP accordingly
to reach your desired listening level.
WARNING: Extended exposure to high sound levels can cause
permanent hearing damage. Reduce volume level or discontinue
use if discomfort or pain is felt in your ears.
Adjusting equalisation (tone).
The X0HA-RHP has a virtually flat frequency response, it does not have
any internal circuitry that adjusts or modifies the equalisation levels.
However, most portable playback devices do include multiple
pre-set equalisation levels with some higher end devices also incorpor-
ating custom equalisation controls. You may use the equalisation
controls included with your playback device to adjust the playback
tone to suit your listening pleasure.

Warranty for Xenos Audio Systems™ Products
This warranty on your new Xenos Audio Systems™ product remains in effect for the period of
five (5) years from the date of consumer purchase either direct from Xenos Audio Systems or
through an appointed authorized dealer.
Except as specified below, this warranty covers all defects in material and workmanship of this
product. The following are not covered by this warranty: Rechargeable batteries of any type,
Any product where the serial number sticker has been removed or modified in any way, Damage,
wear and tear or malfunction resulting from: a) Accident, act of nature, abuse, misuse, neglect,
unauthorized repair or modification, failure to follow instructions supplied with the product. b)
Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by Xenos Audio Systems. c) Shipping of
the product (claims are to be made with the carrier). Where shipment is arranged by Xenos
Audio Systems with it’s preferred carrier, contact Xenos Audio Systems support for additional
information regarding making a claim in this regard. d) Normal use, for example wear and tear,
imperfections, scratches, blemishes or other damage to the equipment.
If during the applicable warranty period from date of consumer purchase your Xenos Audio
Systems™ product is found to be defective, Xenos Audio Systems will repair, or at it’s option,
replace, such defective product without charge for parts or labour.
If your Xenos Audio Systems™ product requires service, it may be taken or shipped to any
authorized service centre or Xenos Audio Systems. Please contact Xenos Audio Systems for
a list of authorized service centres.
THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, IN-
CLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE. XENOS AUDIO SYSTEMS LIABILITY IS EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT,
AT OUR OPTION, OF ANY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT MANUFACTURED BY XENOS AUDIO SYSTEMS AND
SHALL IN NO EVENT INCLUDE INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL COMMERCIAL, PERSONAL INJURY
